What is S and J Enterprises?

S and J Enterprises is a Proprietorship located in Pensacola, Florida specializing in the sale of self defense products and surveillance equipment.  The company was founded by former Navy Commander Scott Barnes upon his retirement from 21 years active duty in the United States Navy.  A decorated combat veteran and Naval Aviator, Scott primarily flew the A-7E Corsair and The FA-18 Hornet completing five deployments and three instructor pilot tours in the FA-18, T-2 Buckeye, and T-39 Sabreliner. He flew combat missions in multiple theaters from the 1980s to 2003 and spent three years in counter-narcotics operations with FBI, DEA, CIA, and US Customs agents in the South/Central American Theater of Operations. He maintains close ties throughout the military Special Operations Command where he is able to keep abreast of the latest developments in covert surveillance, self defense tactics, and non-lethal weapons technology.  He has traveled the world extensively and witnessed first hand, the devastating effects on a society when individual citizens neglect to assume responsibility for their own personal safety and that of their loved ones.

We are huge fans of Law Enforcement here at S and J, and yet we still believe strongly that individuals should take it upon themselves to protect their own "life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness".  Increasing reliance upon the government for our own personal protection is an insidious "feel good" path leading inevitably to the loss of personal liberty. Those that suffer under the iron fist of totalitarian dictatorship today, probably didn't start out thinking that they wanted to be slaves of a corrupt government.  More than likely they simply enjoyed the ever-increasing benefits provided by the "benevolent powers that be" so much, that they allowed their personal freedom to be eroded little by little, until the government became their master.  We Americans have a tradition of recognizing when tyranny rears its ugly head and acting with decisiveness.  From the minutemen of colonial times to the minutemen keeping watch today on our Southern Border, we applaud that American Spirit.

The Mission:

Our mission at S and J Enterprises is to promote personal responsibility and the spirit of rugged individualism  that built America.  We partner with responsible people to prevent their loved ones from being targeted by terrorists and criminal predators that prey on the unsuspecting.  We offer the tools to protect and defend their loved ones when preventative measures fall short.  We accomplish this mission by providing information, training, and affordable self defense products that enable people to live their lives with freedom and confidence every day. Fear is our only enemy and it must be overcome through knowledge, preparation, and above all, a warrior mindset. Everyone wants to live a happy and care free life and we support that 100%, but we realize that each of us must do our part. Freedom isn't Free.
